The Heartseed Vine

Drew is in the midst of one of her worst migraines and only wants to go to bed and sleep it off. When her very best friend asks for help in listing a singles ad, Drew wants nothing to do with it. Worn down by Allee’s persistence, Drew agrees to help her out not realizing what this one moment of weakness will bring into her life. Mike is a detective that also happens to be friends with Drew. While trying to solve the murder of Allee, Mike is also drawn to take care of the devastated Drew. In just a matter of days, Mike realizes that Drew is also in danger and does not even see it. Can Mike keep her safe when she fights him every step of the way?

Nancy Arant Williams provides readers with a well thought out story, portraying unique characters, with enough twists and turns all along the way to leave readers guessing. Readers will be touched by Mike’s intense drive to protect Drew and Drew’s determination to solve Allee’s murder. Mike is a man who comes to realize what he wants out of life when it is placed in danger. Drew is an independent woman who makes one bad decision after another for what she perceives are for all the right reasons. The intense danger draws the reader even deeper into this story. Can Drew figure out what happened to Allee before she gets herself into more trouble than she can get out of?

Nancy Arant Williams has done a wonderful job of mixing the light-hearted romance between two old friends with the danger of an unknown element. The death of Allee is written so well that it not only left Drew broken-hearted and devastated but also the reader. With each new chapter, readers will be rooting for Drew to figure it out and not just the murder. The Heartseed Vine offers readers a tender and touching ending while being left a little breathless by all the danger that comes from an unlikely source. Nancy Arant Williams has earned 4 Angels!
