One Dead Under The Cuckoo’s Nest

The latest Pauline Sokol sleuthing adventure takes Pauline, former nurse now insurance fraud investigator, deeper undercover than ever before. Third in the series, One Dead Under The Cuckoo’s Nest has Pauline once again involved in an investigation with the mysterious and oh so sexy Jagger. He has sent her into a nuthouse (literally) to look for proof of wrong doings.

Upside of the situation… this time around she does not have to put on the scrubs and return to the nursing world she so despises. Downside… she may have to wear things like hospital gowns or maybe even a straight jacket! Pauline is going in undercover all right, but not as a nurse… as a forcibly committed patient! Now it is going to take all her wits and a lot of luck, to find some clues and solve the case amid the land of happy pills and shock treatments. Pauline will also need to keep her eyes peeled for danger because the last thing she wants is to end up with someone trying to kill her.

After all it has happened before … twice in fact!

Pauline is back and better than ever as she gets her chance to work closer than before with the gorgeous Jagger. Third book in the series, I do recommend seeking out the first two before diving into this one. Each of the books in this series is a stand alone title and you will not be lost if you jump in on book 2, or even this one, book 3. Butit is my belief you will enjoy the story so much more if you have followed Pauline from the beginning, and have gotten to know the wacky cast of characters in her world from day one of her adventures into the world of sleuthing. I am looking forward to many more madcap Pauline adventures from Ms. Avocato in this humorous mystery series.
