Agency of Extraordinary Mates: Dinner for Three

Imagine being able to take a nice relaxing vacation on a wonderful tropical island. Picture in your mind colorful parrots and playful monkeys decorating the tops of lush greenery and tropical trees meeting miles of white sandy beaches and crystal blue ocean waters where dolphins swim alongside mermen; then imagine there are elves and dragons. Finally, throw in all the eye candy a girl could possibly desire and you might just have an idea of what vacations on Chimera Island are all about.

Michelle Rios works so many hours that she is considered a "workaholic." Add to that, she takes little time for herself; she’s always tired and has extremely high blood pressure. It is understandable why her partners want her to take a two week, all-expenses paid, vacation to Chimera Island. However, it is hard for Michelle to even consider taking a vacation, so her co-workers have to take drastic measures. Even so, Michelle vacillates over which threat outweighs the other until her cousin informs her that her favorite chefs, the gorgeous Corelli brothers, are living on the island.

Jonathan and Jason Corelli retired to Chimera Island where they manage the island's restaurants. While their fans have wondered why the famous brothers are no longer in the spotlight, those of Chimera Island do not. It's a little known fact beyond the island, that Jonathan and Jason were cursed when they sought the help of a sorcerer. Now they must find the right woman if they want to break the curse. However, it may prove next to impossible to find the woman in question when she has to be willing to take on the twin brothers together; especially when she finds out that Jon is a vampire and Jason is a werewolf.

Jonathan's angst over being a vampire, his insecurities, and his willingness to display his emotions in front of Michelle, and his brother had me almost in tears. However, the emotional aspects of his character don't rule out his alpha male tendencies.

Jason is a likeable werewolf. There are numerous situations between Michelle and Jason's wolf character that I found humorous. Although he doesn't come across as your typical, alpha male until it really counts; when he finally does, "Look out!"

The author hit me right in the heart with the plus-sized, self-conscious, workaholic Michelle Rios. I definitely empathized with her emotions and feelings of inadequacy. It was so easy to put myself in Michelle's shoes, that I could have been her.

The only thing I can say about the sex is that even with an ice-cold, glass of water and a fan, I still found myself panting. (Grin)

I absolutely loved this story. Of the A.O.E.M. books that I have read, Agency of Extraordinary Mates: Dinner for Three by Camille Anthony has to be, by far, my favorite. I not only found myself laughing, but I also found myself close to tears at times.

Ms. Anthony's descriptions of Chimera Island are so well written that I am able to visualize in my mind what it looks like. The island, characters - main as well as secondary - make me wish that such an island retreat really existed. If it did, I would certainly vacation there hoping to find my very own extraordinary mate.

If you have a TBR (to be read) list, and are planning on buying Camille Anthony's Agency of Extraordinary Mates: Dinner for Three, be sure you put this book at the top of your list to read. You won't regret it!
