Unicorn Valley 4: Moontyger's Quest

If you've never read any of Lena Austin's Unicorn series, then you are missing out. These installments are fantastical erotica fantasies at their best. What's fantastical about these stories you might ask? Take for example - Unicorn Valley 4: Moontyger's Quest.

Here we have not only shapeshifters, but individuals who can change their sex at will. There's Moontyger, who is a female shapeshifting tiger, Jamir, who is a shapeshifting male unicorn, and Li Chin, who is a sex changing, shapeshifting dragon that will soon transfigure (die).

What do the three of them have in common? Moontyger is seeking the Kirinn family faction who disappeared some time ago. She's seeks the lost members because the Kirinn in Enchanted Forest are dying off due to the lack of males. Jamir is to be Moontyger's guide among the human world. Li Chin will provide the transportation for their provisions, as well as the two shapeshifters.

While the three of them are searching for the lost Kirinn, they will have to endure many trials, not the least of which is their feelings for each other. Li Chin is soon to transfigure; he knows that this trip could very well be his last chance to grasp a relationship with Moontyger. Moontyger is in love with Li Chin; fears that he will die, but has never tried to reach out to Li Chin. Both are attracted to Jamir. However, Jamir isn't really looking for any type of a serious relationship because he's still getting over the death of his mate.

The protagonists in Lena Austin's Unicorn Valley 4: Moontyger's Quest, are fairly three-dimensional. They each have thoughts and emotions, which lead them to take certain actions. For example: Li Chin knows he is dying, he's jealous that a relationship will form between Moontyger and Jamir; because of his jealousy and love for Moontyger he acts by volunteering to go along as their beast of burden.

The dialogue is great. And there are elements of action that occur while the three go about their adventuring which lead to some deaths for those who are a little on the blood thirsty side. The erotica is extremely hot. However, those that object to ménages and same sex relationships will definitely want to avoid this story unless they can read the book keeping in mind that Moontyger's Quest is strictly a fantastical fantasy.

While Unicorn Valley 4: Moontyger's Quest can be read as a stand alone book, readers will find that there are characters within who have been introduced in the previous books in the series. Reading the earlier books will allow for greater enjoyment of this book.
