She’s Gotta Have It

Camille Roberts grew up poor, watching her mother scramble for every penny, so it’s not surprising that she finds the wealthiest man she can and gets engaged to him. Her sex life with him promises to be uneventful, so Camille is in Jamaica, looking for a final fling before settling down to marry Mr. Rich and Boring. But will she find more than a one-night stand?

Harry Britton can barely keep from turning into a slobbering idiot when he encounters a hot lady at the masked ball. He allows her to remain behind her veil of mystery during their erotic evening together, but finds her missing in the morning. So he sets out to locate her, not knowing what he’ll find at the end of his search.

She’s Gotta Have It is a steamy story with a moral. Niqui Stanhope pens a fun and funny read with well-crafted characters and hilarious scenes, even as she deals convincingly with Camille’s personal baggage. With such amazingly real characters, a gripping, emotional plot, and an interesting take on the lengths a man will go to get the woman he cares about, it was disappointing to find such a great book ended in a hurried and abrupt manner. Twenty more pages would have gone a long way toward making this book stellar. In spite of this, though, the strength of the characters won me over completely. This is the first novel I’ve read by Niqui Stanhope, but it won’t be my last.
