Romeo
Lauren has been longing for a sense of freedom, and spending the weekend with her friend Carla, at Carla’s family ranch is just the beginning. It’s a great girls only trip until Carla lets on to one of the reasons she invited Lauren. Carla is convinced that Lauren will finally be the girl to resist Carla’s cousin Romeo Montero’s legendary charm and charisma. Romeo has always had it easy when it comes to women, and Lauren is much more cautious when it comes to relationships. However, with just one look, Romeo is hooked on Lauren from the moment she steps out of the car.
Lauren is of course not so sure about Romeo. He’s a smooth talker, a possessive and protective man, and all too sure of his attraction. Lauren is a recent heart transplant survivor. She finally has the chance to live life to the fullest and she can’t wait to do so. She wants to experience everything that has been off limits…and that includes all things sexual. Romeo is more than up to the challenge. The only problem is how can he convince Lauren that he wants forever with her, despite the fact that they only have one weekend together? His methods are sure to set the heart to palpitating.
Arrogant and overbearing is how Carla describes Romeo, but the reader will surely see that he is truly a prince at heart. He’s sweet, attentive, and wow, when he falls in love, you’ll know it. As for arrogant, he has good reason to be, but that arrogance flies out the window in the face of Lauren’s innocence and her quest to experience all life has to offer. Romeo is the first book I’ve read by Gail Faulkner but it won’t be my last. I had my reservations about reading a story with the hero bearing the infamous name of Romeo, but my mind was soon set at ease by Romeo’s Alpha male qualities. Add in the great one-liners that he and Lauren shared, some sensual lovemaking, plenty of romance, laughter and love between the hero and heroine, and the reader is guaranteed to have a fun time reading Romeo. I’ll be on the lookout for more of Ms. Faulkner’s sexy stories.
