I loved the part when Marv; in his tacky, outlandish, western clothes, admits how much he loves Julie and only wants the best for her even if it means Rowan. Enjoyable and entertaining, First Love brings you into a world of doubts, highs and lows where love shines through. Rowan’s father and Marv have had words before, making the future look bleak as to who will show up at the wedding and who won’t?

First Love by Julie Kenner is a great book that portrays both the funny and upsetting sides of preparing a wedding, from soothing ruffled feelings to a bride’ worst nightmare of having it all fall apart on you, the feelings are just right. From Rowan’s sister Kiki, who is helping plan the wedding via the Internet, to losing the wedding planner, this story is about the growth of a woman coming into her own. As Julie learns more about herself, you are encouraged to look into yourself and pull those deep emotions that enable you to make yourself grow and be better.
