The Ghost is her host?

While Ghost Unlaid takes place in the Drummond’s library, this could happen in yours or mine if it was haunted! Julie Macbeth is a librarian who is sent to catalog old books called “The Drummond Legacy” when she encounters Lulach, who just happened to be a King over 1,000 years ago. While Julie is getting the books cataloged, Lulach is cataloging Julie to his brand of loving.

What is the key that will send this ghost on his way? Peter, Julie’s friend, brings in a man to try and rid her of Lulach. Will he be successful or will he fail? With love starting to blossom between Julie and Lulach, how can she allow him to be destroyed by a ghost buster?

While entrapped in Ghost Unlaid by Marie Treanor you are taken into a world of ghostly beings, rare books and ancient times. One of my favorite parts of the story is when Julie finds the key that can end Lulach’s time as a ghost. Will she use what she finds to send him away even though she is madly in love with the ghost?

While well written and entertaining I found that the characters could have had a tad bit more depth to them. I enjoyed Ghost Unlaid and look forward to reading more of Marie Treanor to see if she can entertain and just plain maintain the enticing story as she has created in this one. I for one want to read a longer story written by this author -- as Calgon™ says, “Take me away,” and she did! For a short story this is well worth a look at the book.
