Eagle Down! is a fast paced, quick mystery that embroils the reader in the plot immediately. Victoria is as honest as she is ambitious. Her character is a brash deviation from traditional heroines. Here is one woman that is willing to go after the truth for no other reason than to see the story through to the end. Mr. Wohlforth’s writing style encapsulates the dark, often gritty reality of greed into the storyline, while at the same time balancing it with Victoria’s irreverent drive to make headlines. This is a quick read that does not allow for in-depth character development, but the author has established a heroine that this reader wouldn’t mind joining on another adventure.
