Nyte\'s Fall

When Michelle had to start protecting her mom and sister against her mom's boyfriend Hank, she renamed herself Nyte. To save them, she took Hank's abuse and no longer thought of herself as Michelle, but someone of the night. On the night she met Jase, she'd been looking for trouble with a capital "T"; it found her instead. Jase saves her from the bouncers who want more than to check her i.d. Now it isn't only Jase after her, but Tristans as well. Jase wants her for herself; Tristans only wants her so he can hurt Jase. When Tristans and Jase are involved in a fight, things started happening to Nyte that she doesn't understand, she starts thinking how good the pimp's blood would taste. Jase called her vampyress and soon her powers are growing, she starts viewing the world as her toy to do with as she pleases. Is she to become the ruler of all things around her, or is she slowly going mad?

Jase doesn't want to love another human again, but something in Nyte calls to him. He is an outlaw to his people, he's broken the Code and now he has Tristans, the Chief Guardian, after him. He has to be careful as Tristans is closer than he's ever been before and Jase can't let him have Nyte. When Nyte and Jase meet up again, Jase notices there is something different about her. He isn't sure he can save either one of them now that he knows Tristans's blood has tainted Nyte or even if he should try to save them.

Mr. Gabriel has written a novel that gives a different take on vampires and shapeshifters. In a world where they have to hide what they are or be condemned by their own people, this story offers a unique perspective. The story is fast paced and hooks the reader right from the beginning. The characters' interaction with one another and their surroundings is smooth and believable. The way the author tells this story is more than just entertaining, it invites the readers to delve into this delicious tale of good, bad, love, hate and redemption.
