This was a refreshing change of pace in my busy little world. The seven words for sand? I can’t tell you that, but as you read the book, a new word and meaning are revealed per chapter. Mr. Serafino has constructed a fun world that young adults will easily submerge themselves into and quickly feel as though Nick is telling them the story, personally. If you have young readers (I’d say 10-14) in your house, you know they spend a great deal of time on the computer anyway…this is a good investment into their computer time, their entertainment, and promotion of reading.
