All Our Yesterdays : Babylon

Second book in the All Our Yesterdays serial Astrid returns in the second installment to once again take a trip into the past. This time she touches an ancient Babylonian necklace and is transported into the life and body of a priestess of the temple of Marduke. In the temple,she is Istari and she is aware of the future she faces for prophecy has fortold she will leave the temple in captivity. As the new day dawns, Assyrian soldiers arrive and she becomes a prisoner.

Ashur leader of the Assyrian Army takes all the spoils of war for the king but chooses to claim the beautiful priestess Istari for his own. There is at once an instant connection between the priestess and her captor and she will willingly become his in all ways. Yet once again the wrath of their enemies and foolish pride will lead them to a place were danger awaits.

All Our Yesterdays: Babylon is another great read. Like Egypt, the 1st serial installment, it is full of fascinating characters and rich with historical images that come alive. Ms. Walters once again takes the reader along on a fascinating trip to the past. This tale is being promoted as a time travel romance but I would describe it more as one of reincarnation. Astrid once again relives events as if she had lived them before in a prior incarnation. Many of the characters in this tale seem to be possible reincarnations from her former life as well, both good and evil.

So... once again this reviewer is left biting her nails waiting for the next installment to find out where memories will take Astrid next! Another solid 4 angels.
