The Cameo

Dorothy Eckland is the picture of the prim and proper professional woman. She always follows the rules, keeps to a schedule, never causes waves and keeps to herself. She is friendly with people but has few friends. Sometimes she feels lonely and on the outside but has convinced herself that her life is perfect the way it is. A lunch time trip to an antique store leads to the impulse buy of a lovely cameo necklace, and opens the door for a new Dorothy to emerge. For when Dorothy wears the cameo people notice her more, seem to gravitate towards her, and she feels sexy and more desirable than she has ever felt in her life. Dream fantasies begin to enter the picture, dreams with a mystery lover who dominates her and makes her submit to his whims of her exposing herself, pleasuring herself whenever and wherever he asks. Dreams that begin to carry over into her waking hours where she must follow her dream lover's orders and behave in ways the old Dorothy would have never even thought of. Then Mike Rose enters the bank asking for a loan to open a bondage club and stirs a desire in the new Dorothy which cannot be ignored.

The Cameo by author J.W. Mc Kenna is story of self discovery and of sexual awakening. Dorothy in this story is real enough to be someone you know but never pay much attention to in your own life. The quiet one everyone is shocked to see come out of their shell and begin to live for themselves with no concern for what people think. For Dorothy, finding a master to submit to and giving up control sexually really means taking control of her sexuality and finding her own power. The Cameo contains graphic images and descriptions of sex and of sexual situations, and the BDSM and language is not for all readers. This book takes a peek into the world of the BDSM lifestyle that will intrigue those who walk that path and those who voyeuristically just sneak glimpses through the curtains. Those who enjoy this genre will find this Ellora's Cave quickie to be a heat filled, satisfying read.
