Allard is part of a new style space crew run in a socialist manner. He’d joined the crew months ago as a consultant computer expert and stayed ever since. He’s been in a relationship with his boyfriend Vaughan the whole time and is as happy as one with his cantankerous personality type can be. Vaughan isn’t sure that Allard really wants to stay with him though. What’s a guy gotta do to make him believe?

The Syndicate: Volume 2 starts out with a lot of snappy dialogue that snags your attention right away. Allard is a complicated person that seems to be permanently cranky and out of sorts, unless he is with his lover Vaughan. Vaughan is a lovable guy who lets most of Allard’s idiosyncrasies roll off him. The great dialogue sometimes overwhelms the story to the point that it’s hard to concentrate on the story line, particularly when they are having sex. They seem to be talking the whole time, or at least thinking about talking. Other than that, there is some very funny conversation, and Allard is a likeable guy once you get to know him. The whole crew has a set of eccentric characteristics that make you laugh out loud at times. This is a story about two men that are in a loving relationship, so there is a lot of sex and some multiple partners. If you want something a little out of the ordinary, The Syndicate: Volume 2.
