Luna Ten #3: Nebula

Nebula is the third in a wonderful series from Ann Jacobs. It takes us once more into the futuristic setting of Earth and its renegade colony of Luna Ten.

The Earth of the future is not as pleasant a place as we’d all like to think. Corporations have taken over and rulers are power hungry mongrels that will do away with anyone they feel might pose the slightest threat; which is how Star Federation Captain Conan finds himself a complete Eunuch.

For helping to save his brother, Brendan, from a mind wipe, Conan is de-sexed, banished and at the mercy of a society that could care less about his well being. But Conan has friends on a pleasure planet called Luna Ten and it’s these two that will bring him home, free from Federation Law and rule and maybe even bring him love.

Nebula has been promised a man. But not just any man…one who will understand her situation. Cursed with a deadly gene, she’s been neutered by the Federation. Stripped of all that makes her able to bear children and enjoy sex, Nebula feels she will never find a man to accept her.

But her brother-in-law has a plan. Bring these two wayward souls together and watch the sparks fly.

Luna Ten #3 – Nebula is by far the best of the series from Ann Jacobs. Her heartfelt insight to both Conan and Nebula brought tears to this reviewer’s eyes. Ann takes us into a world of the future that isn’t so pretty, but her characters emotions, internal strife and resolution make the world the best it can be.

Her ability to bring the characters to life is outstanding in this reviewer’s mind and I can’t wait to see more from this series. This is definitely a Five Angel read and one hot novella you do not want to miss!
