If the Stiletto Fits
Lily Reaves is living every single woman’s dream. She is young, beautiful, lives in an apartment with a view in downtown Manhattan and has a pair of shoes for every outfit in her closet. Not only does she OWN the shoes; she designed them and thanks to her office manager, James Chamberlin, she is quickly becoming one of the most sought after designers in the industry. She can handle the artistic side of the business but she is hopeless when it comes to organizing and running the office on a day-to-day basis. Thank goodness she has James; but for how long?
An office manager is definitely not what James wanted to be when he grew up, but fifteen years ago that’s the path that he found himself following. At age thirty-two he is financially stable and ready to follow his true dreams, which include a farm in the country and finding a nice “normal” woman with which to settle down. Lily is not “normal” by any stretch of the imagination so why is he suddenly having dreams of her wearing four inch red stilettos and nothing else?
I have loved all of Ms. Etherington’s Temptation books but must admit that I am not a big fan of the Flipside line so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this story. What did I get? Another absolutely fantastic read by Wendy Etherington! James and Lily are complete opposites, which made for some very interesting reading. He is her anchor, she is his wings and together they are perfectly balanced. If you have never read a book by Ms. Etherington, I highly encourage you to do so. Her characters are fun and engaging. The situations are laugh out loud funny and James may very well be THE perfect hero. This is a book that can be placed in the stocking of and enjoyed by anyone between the ages of thirteen and eighty. If the Stiletto Fits kept me up way past my bedtime reading so I have no hesitation in awarding it five angels along with a Recommended Read.
