Elementals: <title>Elementals: Small Magick

Drey was positive that someone had made a mistake. She could not possibly be a mage, she was not able master the simple things most toddlers were able to do. When she mistakenly brings a wind spirit to human form, her life really takes a turn for the better. Cyrus is everything she wants in a man – he enjoys her company, he encourages her and he is a fantastic lover. But, Drey knows she cannot keep him, she will have to return him to his world.

Cyrus had been watching and admiring Drey. When she brings him to human form, he has the chance to be with her and enjoy all the things that mortals do. Cyrus knows he will eventually have to return home and intends to experience all he can. As Drey struggles to find a way to return him to his original form, Cyrus tries to protect her from the evil that has entered her life. He hopes that his love can keep Drey safe, but is not positive.

Small Magick is a truly enjoyable book. Ms. Midnight demonstrates how sometimes we must take chances for those we love. I appreciated how she built their relationship even though they both knew their time together was limited. While this book is part of a series, this book can be read without reading the others.
