All He Wants For Christmas

Kaycee Matthews is finally spending Christmas at her family’s mountain cabin. Although she wants to spend the holiday with her family, she is going to try to finally move past Mike. Ten years ago, Mike broke her heart and she has yet to be able to move on. Arriving at the cabin, the phone is ringing off the hook. Answering it, Kaycee learns that she will be there alone for a while due to the bad storm coming in delaying her mom.

Mike Donovan has spent the last ten years dreaming of Kaycee, desperate for the opportunity to explain what happened all those years ago. Wanting time to himself, Mike calls Kaycee’s mom and asks to borrow her family cabin for a few days. With a conflict in their schedules, Mike arranges to have the cabin over Christmas weekend at Kaycee’s mom insistence. Mike expects to be alone but when he arrives the lights are already on inside.

Realizing that they have been set up by Kaycee’s mom, they are both overwhelmed with emotions now that they find themselves standing in front of one another. Between desire and anger, sparks are flying around the cabin. Will Mike finally have his chance to talk with Kaycee? Can Kaycee budge beyond her stubbornness enough to listen to Mike? Will their passion for each other be enough to rekindle their relationship or will the ten years of anger be too much to overcome?

All He Wants For Christmas instantly grabs the reader with the desperate desire to be able move on after losing the one you love. Kaycee’s character is full of many emotions that she must learn to deal with: some she thought were long gone. Mike wants nothing more than to have Kaycee back. The physical chemistry between Kaycee and Mike is hot enough to keep them warm in the midst of a snow storm. Although this is a short story, the amount of emotions and conflict entwined within its pages is amazing. Within just a few pages, the characters are screaming love me, feel for me, cheer for me to have what I want. Trista Ann Michaels has done an outstanding job offering so much in such a small amount of pages. All He Wants For Christmas is a beautiful story of a Christmas present worth fighting for and is truly worth all of the 5 Angels it earned as well as the Recommended Read!
