Eden’s Pleasure

After being caught in a compromising position with the Harcourt twins, Gideon and Gervase, Eden was quietly married off to a man old enough to be her grandfather. Now that he’s dead and she’s out from under the iron thumb of her stepsister, Eden hopes to find some peace, or barring that at least some pleasure.

When she is thrown by her horse and Gideon Harcourt finds her, Eden’s life is about to change again. His brother Gervase has never forgiven her for running off with a richer man, or so his father tells it. Eden had spent years in hell all because of these two men; can she forgive them and give them all a sense of completion?

This was a fascinating look into Regency England that was refreshingly clean. There have been a number of pulp novels about this time period that are trashy porn, but this one was amazing. I really enjoyed Ms. Pearce’s sensitivity in making this book an emotional story as well as extremely erotic. The different subplots in this tale made it surprisingly intricate for an eighty-eight page book. If she continues to write with such talent, I may have to revisit this time period again.
