Ellora’s Cavemen: Legendary Tails IV

Orgasm Fairy by Ashleigh Raine

Cammie Witherspoon is an Orgasm Fairy, traveling around and bestowing orgasms on the worthy. Cammie was drawn to a bookstore by the aura of sexual frustration. It was Erotic Poetry night and boy was there some bad poetry. Cammie got up to add to the night and her eyes lit upon a gorgeous man with dimples to die for. After being an Orgasm Fairy for 21 years and being deprived of orgasms for that time, she was willing to have a little fun.

Neal Fallon couldn’t believe his eyes, that gorgeous woman spouting the Fifteen Fits of Female Frustration was just his type. Pouty lips, golden hair, and a sense of humor. What could they do together?

What a way to start an anthology! I had a really hard time stifling my laughter to this one, because who wants to explain to a five year old what’s so funny? Both Cammie and Neal were great characters that really leapt off the page. The ending was a great twist and the room? Oh my goodness did I laugh at that description! I hope that there will be more Orgasm Fairies having to make up for selfish first lives.

Overcome by Marly Chance

Ansley Morgan was facing the Lansori version of interrogation when she heard these words, “Have you ever been ravished?” The man who had uttered them was her former partner, Rowan Flynn. Ansley had been sent by the Union to rescue the Tressari Minister, but something went wrong, wrong enough to put her in this situation. Facing the ‘ravishment’ stage of the interrogation with a man that she has lusted after as her punisher is not the worst thing she has faced, but perhaps the hardest. Can she trust him to save her or will he betray her?

Overcome was a fantastical story that takes the reader to another world. The idea of ravishment and yearning as punishment is ingenious and makes us thank Ms. Chance’s husband for encouraging her to submit her works. I have never been disappointed in her books and do not foresee this happening. I look forward to more by her.

Secrets We Keep by Mandy M Roth

Trisha Holt is seeing her future and she doesn’t like it. She’s thirty years old and wants to start a family, so when one in a long line of boring boyfriends asks her to marry him, she settles and says yes. Knowing that the man she really wants, Dane Bennett, sees her only as a friend doesn’t make things any easier. One amazing night teaches her that a woman should never settle.

The idea that one’s spouse should be your best friend is so true. Boy, does Ms. Roth put her own spin on this topic though. After seven years of unrequited love and lust these two sure do burn up the bedroom! I could not believe how well written these love scenes were! Thank you so much for this story.

A Love Eternal by N.J. Walters

Genevieve Alexander has spent her life as a loner. She has no friends and even after seven years working in one place, she has only co workers and acquaintances. Now that she faces an insurmountable problem, she reflects on her boring life. Wishing she had actually lived her life instead of hiding in her rut. A strange man materializes out of the shadows on her favorite thinking spot and tells her she can call him Seth. Seth takes her out and opens her eyes to life and beyond.

N.J. Walters has an amazing imagination. The power that this story had wows me. I was brought to tears a few times by A Love Eternal. The characters were fabulous and the plot twist? Amazing! When I understood who and what Seth was, it just blew me away.

Keeper of Tomorrows by Ravyn Wilde

Talon and Raine are halves of the same whole. Raine must accept Talon for who and what he is in order for him to exist. She has met him before in other lives, but didn’t accept him. Will she lose him in this lifetime as well? In order to save hundreds of lives, Talon must join with her, but he wants her for more than just that. He’s looking for a partner for all eternity.

This was one of the most unique stories I have read. The idea isn’t new, different dimension existing, but the actuality of it is. I was truly impressed with this story and it was the first I have read by Ms. Wilde. Had I known her imagination and skill, I would have searched her out before this. Keeper of Tomorrows was fabulously well-written. Well done, Ms. Wilde.

Seeds of Yesterday by Jaid Black
Trina grew up always being made to feel inferior. Her best friend, Amy, was from a wealthy family and they looked down on her. They also blamed her for Amy’s drug habit. Trina could deal with Amy’s parents looking down on her, but for some reason, the fact that Amy’s brother Daniel thought she was trash, hurt. Fourteen years have passed and Trina has become a successful playwright in England. After coming home to Cuyahoga Falls to give a graduation speech, she finds herself face to face with her past. Amy has died. Struggling with this loss, Trina makes an appearance at the funeral to say goodbye and is confronted with feelings for Daniel that never went away. Can these two come to terms with their past?

Seeds of Yesterday brings out an entirely new facet for Ms. Black. I have always enjoyed her books for their rich detail and their tight plots, but this time I hurt for these characters. They crawled inside my head and demanded that I listen to their stories. This was a compelling book that made me respect Jaid Black even more for her writing.

Ellora’s Cavemen: Legendary Tails 4 has not only lived up to its predecessors, but surpassed them. From the hilarious antics of The Orgasm Fairy to the harsh real life drama of Seeds of Yesterday and all the wonderful stories in between, Ellora’s Cavemen: Legendary Tails 4 is a book to be read over and over again.
