Alec has a lot on his plate right now; his sister is getting married, his race is being hunted and murdered, and now he’s had an amazing woman thrown into his life and his home. He does not have the time to indulge in a relationship, but destiny has another thing to say about that.

This was a really great book. It is the second in a series, but can be read alone. The mythology was fascinating; I would like to learn more about this race and their history. Bailee is a woman full of life; she is not a stereotypical woman that needs flowers and hearts to go with sweaty monkey sex. She was not afraid to go after what and who she wanted. Alec was everything but stereotypical as well, he was a man who wasn’t afraid to show emotions and to admit when he was wrong. Did I mention extremely hot as well? Tawny Taylor has amazed me with this book; she created a race that is fascinating, a couple that burns up the sheets, and a plot that is riveting! Well done, I look forward to more in the Immortal Secrets series.
