Joys of Home
Hannah Martinson has just been offered a wonderful opportunity. As the manager of the special projects group, Hannah has been asked by her boss to revamp the daycare center with an unlimited budget. She is thrilled to be a part of such a project and knows that it will be just the thing to show her boss that he was right in trusting her and get her promoted. The only problem with her plan is the engineer hired to be apart of this project, Linc Adams, wants no part of it and her boss will only give the go ahead is if Linc is on board. Hannah doesn’t understand why Linc would jeopardize his new job by saying no, but she intends to change his mind.
Linc Adams was attracted to Hannah and happy with his new job until he learned that the project they would be working on together was a daycare center. He wanted out immediately due to his feelings on children away from their mothers and his own tragic past, but somehow he puts his beliefs aside for the time being and agrees to help run the project. While Hannah and Linc work hard on putting together the daycare center in a short amount of time, their attraction to each other grows as does their arguments on what is right for the daycare. Can Linc and Hannah ever come to terms with their opposing views and beliefs? Will work always come first in Hannah’s life?
Joys of Home is a heart-warming story of life, love and loss. This book tells the story of Hannah and Linc and their struggle to create a relationship while having two opposing views on life and love. Hannah grew up with the knowledge that her father walked out on them, coloring her views on family while being determined to have work come first in her life. Linc wants a family life with a wife, kids, and the white picket fence. He knows that Hannah is the woman for him if he can convince her to put their relationship before work. Linc also has problems with children being put in daycare instead of being home with their mothers to watch them stemming from his own childhood and his tragic past. Can these two find some middle ground? Will they let their past tear apart their future?
Bonnie Hamre has done a wonderful job in creating a story that draws the readers in and keeps their attention with detailed characters, a fast moving plot, and lots of sexual tension. I highly enjoyed watching Hannah and Linc come together in their struggle to overcome their pasts and learn to love each other. The love and passion between them was touching and sexy. Joys of Home is a delightful romance that I give 4 Angels.
