Relative Dangers

Marisa McCabe is out working the horses when they get spooked and the cinch breaks, throwing her to the ground. When she comes to, handsome Dustin Layne is there helping her up and untangling the leads. Marisa learns that Dustin is new in town and here as part of the construction crew putting in the highly debated Canyon Rojo Dam.

Dustin is struck by the beauty and innocence of Marisa and after learning how hard and lonely Marisa’s home life has been, vows to be there as her friend and help her in anyway he can. They spend time together occasionally and develop a friendship.

Marisa learns about a plot to stop the dam from being finished and goes to Dustin with her concerns. They are soon thrown together from the danger to Marisa, and their friendship turns into more even though Dustin has concerns over their age difference. Will Dustin and Marisa be able to overcome their differences to have a life together or will they let fear split them apart?

Relative Dangers is a heart-warming romance that details the best and worse of people in a fashion that will leave you breathless. Marisa is a strong woman that has dealt with the worst life threw at her and remained true to herself. Dustin is a good man that admits his past mistakes and wants more in his life than work and a distant family.

I found the relationship between Dustin and Marisa to be poignant and charming and I give Relative Dangers 4 Angels.
