Lorelei Allemande and her half brother Renaud have been hunted since before they were born. Hunted not for themselves, but what they can become. They have never had the freedom to even acknowledge their relationship. When Lorelei moves to where Renaud lives, she is thinking it will be a nice reprieve from the demanding world of ballet. Even as Lorelei begins to settle into a relationship with Renaud’s uncle, Sheriff Warrick Martine, the danger that has stalked them for years is closing in. Will Warrick become yet another weak spot her enemies can exploit, or the salvation Lorelei and Renaud need to finally live?

Everyone Has a Weak Spot is a quick, satisfying blend of romance and suspense. J.J. Massa has taken what could be a very common theme and injected it with a unique twist. The scenes between Lorelei and War are what readers will remember from this work. You can feel the emotion that simmers between them. Her innocence and his lack of innocence make for some interesting scenes as they strive to understand each other and why they are drawn towards one another. Renaud’s persona does not receive as much attention, but the elements of his character that are revealed compliment the story and main characters. As the suspense builds, readers will experience the rising tension while perhaps still wanting a bit more from this story. The conclusion is a little rushed but nonetheless satisfying. Ms. Massa has delivered a hot read that fans are sure to enjoy.
