Jennifer Wartner knew weddings affected her and she shouldn't have had those drinks. However, she began to see Stephen Lemont in a whole new light. Jennifer decided their interlude was just a one night stand, the problem with that is she can't get him off her mind. The more she tries the harder it is. When the phone rings and it is Stephen, she is so glad she accepts a date. Their attraction is just as hot as it had been that night after the wedding. After a weekend of bliss and thinking this is too good to be true, Jennifer is shown that there are a few gray clouds on her horizon. Stephen is being sued. She knows that because of her job as the managing editor of the paper she has to call it off with him, and she isn't too sure he is innocent of the charges. But can she stay away and be impartial? This is something she doesn't know.
Stephen Lemont has always had a good time whenever he happened to meet Jennifer at the social events they both attended, however, he never thought of taking her to bed. At the wedding, she's sending off signals his body is definitely picking up on, and things are about to change. He knows they are compatible and he wants to spend more time with her, until she says she has no time for a relationship. Their weekend together gives him hopes that maybe she will change her mind; that is until his ex-girlfriend decides to sue him for sexual harassment. Will Stephen be able to clear his name, get his woman back and his career back in order? Read this astonishing book to find those answers.
Ms. DeQuaya has written a novel that is beyond hot; it sizzles with the intense heat and emotions between Jennifer and Stephen. These two characters are both strong and independent and the road they take is one full of bumps that throw them for a loop. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. The descriptions that the author gives about the newspaper business makes the reader enjoy and understand what is happening when Jennifer has a deadline, is dealing with her bosses, and must choose between her personal and professional goals.
