The Woods Around Carter’s Lake

Something is happening in the town of Manchester and Father Christopher Randall has to find out what it is before it destroys the town and the people who reside there. Waking up in the hospital after his heart attack, Father Randall hears a voice and can hear what others are thinking. He fears he’s going insane and wishes he could tell someone, but he knows they will think he’s no longer in his right mind. When his doctor, Meredith Swanson, comes to Manchester to tell him of what has happened to Deborah Parker, he knows that Meredith will help him. Too many people have disappeared, some while walking in the woods around Carter's Lake. Together, they set out to save not only the town, but themselves.

If you like Stephen King, you’re going to love Mr. Konevich. He has given horror lovers a book that will send chills down their spines. The descriptions of the woods, fog and demons are so realistic that the readers will feel they are in the book with the characters. You’ll lose yourself to the world the author has created with such detail; you can feel the emotions of Father Randall, Meredith and Sister Patricia. I’ll definitely be adding Mr. Konevich to my list of authors to be a must read.
