Jarad's Return

After losing his wife and daughter, Jarad vowed revenge on those responsible, and his tribe exiled him. After wandering in the desert, Jarad is found by Cheyana, her mother Xenia, and their tribe. Although they heal him, he fears they are part of the Kahn raiders who'd killed his family and friends, had taken all away from him. That is until they are attacked by the Kahn and Cheyana is taken and the rest of the tribe is killed. Now it's up to Jarad and Xenia to find and get Cheyana back, only there are other forces at work. Once again Jarad doesn't make in time to save someone else he's come to love and Xenia blames him as well. They find that the man Tao, whom Xenia had fought along side of, was the one behind of trying to break the treaty between Jarad's people and the other two tribes. Going back to the place she once called home, Xenia and Jarad find he has a higher calling than either of them knew. Will they be able to save Jarad's ! people along with Xenia's? Ms. Crawford's novel is one that will make you wonder what is real and what is a dream for these characters. Her attention to detail is so intense that you won't want to, nor will you be able to, stop reading. You'll feel the emotions of Xenia, Jarad and the rest, so much so that you'll be gritting your teeth to get at the secondary characters that are evil. I can't name just one scene that stands out above the rest, as they are all compelling. The journey these two characters have to make in order to find what is their destiny is one that will not only stay with readers, but will have them talking about this book for days to come. If you love intrigue, romance, love, and hope then you'll go and grab this book, it has that and so much more.
