Killer Turtle

Al Brookes has problems. Not A problem, problems. They seem to find him. They hunt him down and attach like super glue. The major one plaguing his life currently…not even of his own causing. How is that for Fate? This one is all his wife’s fault, ex-wife. Usually when one divorces those problems separate, go their own way, but she has a way of hanging around like a bad hangover. Yeah, he loves her, but is love really worth the heartache and pain? She got everything she wanted; can’t she just leave him in peace? His ex-wife isn’t even considerate enough to let the man drink in peace. No. While Al has a down moment, that precious moment where he thinks everything is all right, a friend of hers dies at the bar where he’s trying to relax. I think you see a pattern here…

Killer Turtle is a faced paced frolic with adventure and intrigue, interesting enough for both our male and female readers. Though I personally felt it started a bit slow, it picked up the pace quickly. Brooker delivers and interesting array of background data, unique factoids, and twists in his plot. For a fast read, I give this three angels.
