Miranda White and her sister Ro own and run Fitzy’s Diner next to the police station. The place is popular with the officers of the police force, and the girls are almost considered part of the cop “family.” Though Randa flirts with the guys, she’s never accepted a date with one of her policeman customers because she wants to keep her friendships with them, and she’s seen and heard how the guys talk about their dates. In spite of all that, Randa definitely has the hots for Officer John Stevens, but doesn’t want to be considered his “flavor of the month.” Little does Randa know that Johnnie Stevens also has the hots for her, and intends to show her just how much he desires her...

This is a great novella, and includes something for everyone – a gorgeous man in uniform, a luscious large-size woman, humor, and sensuous lovemaking. Miranda is a character in whom any woman can see herself – a hard-working businesswoman, a woman who would love to be in love, and a woman who sees herself as unappealing to males. Her character is complex, and very interesting. John is also a deep character, a man of action, who is also kind and intelligent. Yum! Both are liked by their friends, which mirrors their appeal to the reader as well. The plot is simple and short, allowing the author to concentrate on the interpersonal relationships, and develop those fully. The love scenes are very sensual and emotionally satisfying. I loved this book!
