Right From The Start
Even on rainy Monday mornings, Dana was a good Samaritan when people needed help. And the guy in the broken down SUV in front of her definitely needed help getting that behemoth out of the road during rush hour. After helping the guy – he introduced himself as Randy – to get the car to the side of the highway, she drove him to the garage where he worked. She knew that she’d never see him again, but, even as she waved goodbye to him, her imagination was going wild with the lustful feelings this stranger was inciting in her!
Several days later, Dana and her girlfriend Carol went out with a mutual friend who wanted to introduce them to her cousin, newly settled in the area. Imagine Dana’s surprise, when the cousin turned out to be – Randy!
This is a short novella (56 pages), but all the proper elements for a romance are included. The plot, necessarily, is fast-paced and the writing is quite good. The lead characters are carefully developed, and they react believably and appropriately to the events that act upon their lives. This story is definitely erotic because, from the moment they meet, Dana and Randy are irresistibly drawn to each other and act on those desires. The love scenes are explicit and emotional. I was impressed by the deep feelings that the author was able to elicit from her well-drawn characters and communicate to the reader. I enjoyed this story and think fans of contemporary romance will too.
