Telling Tales
Sheriff Kellan Grant has wanted Darci Law since she moved to town five years ago, but after going through a divorce that soured him on relationships he knows that he can’t have her. Everything about her says that she will not go for a quick roll in the hay. She is the kind of woman that makes a man dream of white picket fences and two point five kids, so he does the only thing that he can in order to save himself; he spends his days avoiding her and his nights dreaming of her. At least that’s what he does until he discovers a murderer is loose in his small town; now he must decide if Darci is the prime suspect or the next victim.
Outspoken elementary school teacher Darci Law can’t believe what is going on in the quiet town that she calls home. Suddenly people around her are dropping like flies and they are all people with whom she recently had angry encounters. The ONLY good thing that seems to be happening is that the sexy sheriff, whom she has been lusting after since she arrived in town, has finally stopped avoiding her like the plague.
In Telling Tales, Shiloh Walker uses her unique talent to create a story packed with suspense and sexy anticipation. I loved Darci’s sassiness and spunk and I’m still trying to decide whether it was Kellan’s honor and sweetness or his passionate protectiveness that impressed me the most. Whatever you decide you like best about this story, I have no doubt that you will find it a very satisfying read, both in the romance and in the mystery department. My advice when reading Telling Tales is to prepare the snacks ahead of time because you’re not going to want to put this one down until the very end.
