Love Is All Around

Patsy Lee Clark wants to leave Daisy Creek, the small town where she grew up. She knows that she has no future if she has to scan groceries at the Biggee Mart for the rest of her life. She has resumés out there; if only someone would call her and offer her a job. That certainly won't happen if Grandma keeps unplugging the answering machine.

Will Barnes has come back to Daisy Creek after selling his internet company for a tidy sum. When he and Patsy Lee were growing up, they developed a crush on each other. Will was known as the bad boy in town. He also knows the money he made off selling his company is not going to last forever, and that he needs to come up with an idea for income.

When Patsy Lee learns Will is back in town, old feelings start to surface. She isn’t quite ready to get burned again in the matter of love (Her ex-husband was the cause of her first heartbreak). She is curious to find out if Will remembers her.

Her big break finally comes along, but after all this time, she isn’t sure she should really take this job, although it means she can finally leave Daisy Creek. Will she find what she is seeking out in the world?

A company named Sunrise wants to build in Daisy Creek, which means buying out some property. This is the same company that hired Patsy Lee. Patsy Lee also learns what Sunrise is up to, now what should she do? Quit and go back to Daisy Creek? What about Will? Can she handle her feelings for him?

I have to add one more interesting character to this review: Pugnacious, Patsy Lee’s pug dog. She is adorable! Pugnacious thinks that she is a coon dog, and she is always on the hunt for squirrels. The pug dog had this reviewer giggling through the book.

Love Is All Around was an enjoyable book. It kept this reviewer interested until the last page.
