Richard Daniels is a retired Special Forces Captain turned mercenary that is hired to head up a small group to go on a top secret rescue mission in Mexico. William Taylor been the leader of CIA agents for ten years and has sent the team on missions of murder and betrayal. Now he is about to be nominated to head a newly created Federal super-agency. This appointment will make him the leader of all of the most powerful agencies in the United States. The only one who now stands in his way is Richard Daniels. Daniels must be killed at all cost, before he is able to expose Taylor's plans of power, wealth and corruption.

Hang on to your seats because it is going to be a bumpy ride! The Last Operation is the most action-packed and exciting book that this reviewer has read in a long time. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat, turning the pages as fast as you can. The full array of cast members can be a bit confusing at first as well as the jumping back in time to the present time makes this story hard to follow at times. For the first half of the book, this is a bit distracting, but soon the reader comes to understand the significance of all each operation and how they all tie together to make a most satisfying conclusion. Once readers realize the impact of the actions leading up to the present, they understand what an intriguing and fulfilling book this really is. The characters are believable, strong willed, determined and tough. Parts are a bit graphic and gory, but this only adds to the suspense and thrill of the story line. This book is totally mesmerizing;; thriller an! d suspense lovers will really enjoy it.
