Sweet Shoppe: Tempting Prudence

When Jonas Smith catches Prudence Merriweather drooling after some chocolate-covered cherries in the newly built Sweet Shoppe in their office building, he knows that he has finally found a way to win her heart. Jonas has been lusting after Prudence since he started working with her six months earlier. When they have to hold a meeting together, he conveniently changes the place to his home, where he can seduce her with the cherries. They have a splendid time together, but is it destined to be a one-night thing only…or have the cherries turned their mutual lust into love?

This was a very sweet romance with several very delicious love scenes. Dessert is always a good aphrodisiac, and Melissa Schroeder certainly plays that quality up with the scenes involving the chocolate covered cherries. This reviewer especially enjoyed all the romantic moments leading up to the love scenes. Nobody is better at setting the stage than Ms. Schroeder and Sweet Shoppe: Tempting Prudence proves once again that clever dialogue, believable characters and lots of romance go a long way to creating an unforgettable tale. Prudence and Jonas are two characters who will leave an indelible image in the reader’s head by this tale’s end.
