Adam 483: Man or Machine

Tyree Samou is the captain of the HCS Jenway, a mineral freighter. As the sister of the ambassador and a successful captain in the male-dominated business, Tyree receives the order to have a protector-bot. When it arrives, she is caught unaware by the humor she swears is lurking in its eyes. She asks her medical officer if she’s sure it isn’t an illegal cyborg, going so far as to slice its palm to ensure that it isn’t one of the outlawed items.

Adam-483 is the cyborg that has been assigned to Tyree with her brother’s blessing. Trying to keep the secret of his existence while being attracted to Tyree is proving to be much harder than he expected. Not only is he fighting his attraction, but he’s also struggling with Tyree’s suspicion. Darn her for being too smart!

When these two finally give in to each other, the sparks really fly! Unfortunately, a spy onboard endangers both their lives and their hearts. Will they be able to be together despite this?

This was a great, fast-moving story. I wish it had been longer! The concept was fabulous! I haven’t read very many cyborg/robot romances and it was a refreshing change from my norm. There was a bit of tasteful domination and I think it was the cherry on top of this sundae. I give this story 4 Angels for a great story and fun characters. Thanks, Ms. Kerce.
