Erin Moore Interview
What are you currently working?
I have two novels that I'm in the process of editing and sending to an agent. I have also started my next novel, tentatively titled Shadows.Who do you consider to be an excellent author and why? As for reading pleasure, I find that I absolutely love Sandra Brown and Karen Robards. What, to you, makes the best publisher? I like a publisher that has people who listen when something is wrong and answers your emails quickly, who finds everyway possible to help the author promote themselves, even if they don't have the budget for it, and of course, doing everything possible to make our books the best they can be.What does your working space look like? Messy! =) My husband is always on me to straighten up, but I work best with clutter. I call it my organized clutter. What do you like to do in your spare time? Read and paint. I paint ceramics.Tell your fans something personal about you. Something they would want to know. The first novel I ever wrote is still in my filing cabinet. I have been toying with the idea of pulling it out and going over it to see if it's even worthy of trying to get published. But it's been in the filing cabinet for 8 years. What is your favorite type of genre to write? Romantic Suspense, though I find that I'm straying to mainstream and I love it. You can do so much there. To read? Mainstream and historical romances. Do you owe your success to anyone? My husband for sure. It has been his constant support and encouragement that has kept me writing, especially when things are bad and I'm ready to quit. And I have a great family, who is very supportive.Did you always know you wanted to be a writer? No, I was going to be an accountant! lol I had no interest in even reading until I became pregnant with my first child, then I read everything. Not much else to do when you're miserable. After that I tried my hand at writing, it was a hobby for years, then I decided to try to get published. It was hard, but worth every second. What was the first story you ever wrote and what kind of reviews did you receive? My first story that I EVER wrote has not been published. It's the one in the filing cabinet. lol but the first novel that I have published, The Game received good reviews, though not as good as the reviews I'm not getting on my new release. Can you please tell us either about the book you are writing now or the last one published? The last one published, All I Ever Wanted is about Amber who had been jilted at the alter by the love of her life, Craig. Craig had found her in the arms of another man and left her. What he didn't know was that he was leaving Amber to a fate worse than death. What is a typical day like for you? Well now that my children are home from school, it's a lot different than it is when they are at school. I don't seem to get as much work done lately. lol but, I work from about 9 or 9:30 until about 4 when my husband gets off work. I try to keep my schedule as close to his as I can, that way I'm not working into the middle of the night, which I can easily do some days. What is the best advice you can give to new authors? Don't stop writing, keep at it, and always keep an open mind to learn more. Is there anything else you would like to tell your fans? I would love anyone and everyone to visit me at my web site www.erinmoore.org, you can find out about all my releases and how to order them. You can also get sneak peaks at all my books and stay informed of what's going on with my newsletter.Thank you from the staff at Fallen Angel Reviews. Interviewed By: Ruby
