Morag McKendrick Pippin Interview

Please welcome Mrs. Morag McKendrick Pippin to Fallen Angel Reviews.

What are you currently working on?

BLOOD MOON OVER BRITAIN, a WWII romantic thriller.

What is your favorite genre to write?

Early 20th century romantic thrillersTo read? The same. And mystery/thrillers, espionage thrillers, Regency Historicals, Supernatural stories, Contemporaries.

Do you have a favorite Author?

Too many to name! Probably my two favorites are Barbara Erskine and Diana Gabaldon.

If you were stranded on an island and could only have one book what book would it be?

Only one?! Maybe THE FIERY CROSS by Diana Gabaldon.

What is a typical day like for you?

Sigh, I crave typical. When nothing else interferes: Feed the kitties, eat breakfast, attend to email, shower, put on a load of wash, work on my wip, rescue pens, paperbacks, computer paper, electrical cords from the rambunctious kittens, look in the freezer for something to fix my dh for dinner, find nothing inspiring, go back to work on wip, check email. Dh comes home demanding dinner, shove a Healthy Choice in the microwave for him, check on laundry - it's been done for hours and now stinks, work on wip, watch tv with DH, load laundry in the dryer, move the kitties off my pillow, go to bed.

How does your family feel about your writing?

My husband is very supportive. It was his idea that I start writing.

What does your computer desk look like?

A mess. But I know where everything is:-)

What genre is the hardest for you to write?

Non-fiction.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?

The Seychelles.

What do you think is the key to becoming a great writer?

Discipline.

If you could write a story about your life what would the title be?

No way would I write a book on my life:-) Too much work. Too many other stories to tell.

Please share some of your work with us here:

I've written several short stories, one of which is to be published in Arabella Magazine. It is the fictional story of my maternal grandparents. I've written one book: BLOOD MOON OVER BENGAL, and am working on my second, BLOOD MOON OVER BRITAIN.

What's the best advice anyone has ever give you?

My maternal grandmother gave me, I think, the best piece of advice: There's no such thing as 'can't.'

Thank you for your time, we appreciate the interview and wish you much luck with your writing career in the future.
