Fallen Angel Reviews would like to welcome author
HH Self. For those who may not have been to his website lately, you must check it out! It is truly magnificent. He is also the author of several books you may have heard of:
The Hunted, Open Door and
Forbidden Dreams: Lemon Tea.

As I mentioned above I am enthralled with your website, and I noticed you designed it yourself. Where did you come up with the idea for this Celtic look?
Thank you JoAnn, I am very flattered. I have been an admirer of your web design work for sometime now. The Celtic feel to the site seemed to evolve naturally. The Celtic theme has been in a lot of my art work from early childhood. Being raised on a Colorado farm I found that a little strange when it was pointed out to me in later years. A psychic friend of mine tells me it has to do with a lost love I am trying to reconnect with and a time of joy once shared. I think of my website as my internet home. The Celtic look makes me feel like I am back at that home I sometimes find in my dreams.
On the main page you mention a coming soon book titled
Switch, would you care to share with us the idea behind this book?
Switch will be my first published story dealing with the Master/submissive relationship. In this story the roles become reversed as payment for a bargain ill-conceived, well at least on the man’s part.
Out of all the books you have written is there one in particular that means the most to you? If so, which one?
Each story I have written is tied to so much, not only the story itself but all the wonderful people involved in getting it published. It would be impossible to choose just one.
>From what do you gain the most inspiration for your writing?
Inspiration comes from opening up to the world around me. Take an experience, toss in a dash of ‘what if,’ a cup of trouble, two tablespoons of suspense and you have a good start on a new story.
Has being published changed you at all? If so, how?
Does walking on clouds for a week after you get that publishing contract count? And no it doesn’t happen on just the first contract.
Now on your bio you mention you are also a firefighter. Do you feel that writing is your outlet?
Yes JoAnn it is an outlet from the things that happen on the job, but then creating stories has always been an escape for me. Do you remember that kid in school, the one that was always telling some tall tale? Well that would be me. I just finally found out how much I enjoyed writing them down.
If we were to invade your house today, what would we find on your bookshelf?
The top shelf has two brass vases with black candles in them, also part of my dragon collection is there and a few things I really intended to get put up today (grin). The next shelf has a lot of “how to” books on everything from graphics to writing. I do have copies of my own work beside E.A. Poe and Stephen King. I am hoping for that osmosis effect to work. I also keep my e-book reader there. It is filled with a lot of the fantastic e-authors that are out there writing. I really enjoy the fact I know a good number of them personally.
If you could go anywhere, be anyone, do anything for 24 hours, what would it be?
24 hours, Hmmm, I would put me on a sunny warm beach, no cell phone, no pager, a blank note book and a good pen. Oh and a cold Margarita in one hand and a hot Margarita beside me. Could I talk you into 48 hours?
Most people only dream of becoming a successful writer. Now that you have accomplished that is there anything else you dream of doing?
That next book done even better, touching the reader in a more personal way. I really can’t think of a better job than letting your imagination run wild and getting paid to write it down.
Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?
Write that first draft with a love for the art of writing, free and unhampered by all the so called rules. Edit with a love for the craft.
Is there anything you would like to add?
