Hi Delilah! Welcome to Fallen Angel Reviews! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit with us.

Lion in the Shadows sounds like another don’t want to miss out on book. Can you share a tidbit with readers about this work?
This is my “furry” love story! And it’s shape shifting-ghost possessing erotica. I love writing paranormal—no, extra-normal stories about extraordinary people. And of course, the sex in this book is intended to be unforgettable! This is the blurb:
When a teen dies inside an unexplored cave, it’s Lani Kimmel’s job to bring him out. She’s a member of the local fire department and an expert in cave rescues. But the trek into the cave awakens a creature that will push this no-nonsense woman’s boundaries of belief and test her newly emerging love for one man.
Rafe Chavez, the new sheriff in this small Texas town, has already staked a claim on Lani. He’s a man with a goal in his sights, and he’s not letting anything get in his way—until he dreams about an Indian brave who died in that unexplored cave, savaged by a mountain lion. When his dreams cross into reality, Rafe realizes he may be possessed by the Indian’s spirit—but the spirit isn’t alone and it wants Lani.

Frannie 'n' The Private Dick as part of the
Nibbles 'n' Bits anthology from Ellora’s Cave. For readers that have not picked this up yet, can you tell us a little about the story?
If you like comedy with your vamp-fix, I think this is the story for you. Frannie Valentine was a fun character to live with for the three weeks I wrote her story. She’s vain, spoiled, but utterly loveable. When she decides to do a little sleuthing to see if her mobster fiancé is cheating on her, she starts a chain of events that ends up with her dead, a vampire, and without any means of support. So she turns to the vamp who turned her, demanding he give her a job. Niall Keegan has to suffer through her growing pains.
This is a fun, engaging story. How did you come up with the idea?
I knew I needed an over-the-top comedy, so I let my imagination fly. I started by wondering what a vampire’s experience would be when she first woke after dying. What would she be feeling? Where would she find herself? Frannie awakens in a funeral parlor with a blue-haired lady applying her makeup. Convinced she’s in hell and being punished for the sin of vanity, I let Frannie lead me through her adventure from there!
Does your writing style differ when you are writing a standalone book as compared to a story that is going to be part of an anthology?
Not at all. My style changes according to the story. Some are darker and more action-adventure. Some are comedic romps. Although all my books end up with some element of comedy (especially during the love scenes—I think sex can be hilarious!), some stories hold a deeper emotional impact. I try always to make the relationships realistic, even if they include partners who are vampires, werewolves, or pleasure robots!
From what do you derive the most inspiration for your writing?
I pull inspiration from real life. I’ve had some amazing adventures and have found the funny everywhere. Studying history, mythology, and TV also inspires me—I’m a huge Buffy the Vampire fan! Then there are my dreams. I’ve traveled all over the universe and been abducted by aliens and King Kong. You can’t get any more inspired than that!
Since everybody needs a break, even when doing something they love, how do you like to spend your time away from writing?
People take breaks? I don’t take many, because my adventures of late all take place in my head, and I have to rush to get them onto paper. I do love attending writers’ conferences and mingling with other lunatics who think their characters talks to them. Until I met other writers, I seriously thought I was schizophrenic!
Your books encompass a wide variety of characters; do you have a particular favorite?
I loved Frannie from Frannie ‘n’ the Private Dick and Emmy from All Hallows Heartbreaker. Both are flawed, but loveable—and very kooky. I identify most with them!
As for heroes, Quentin from Love Bites was inspired by my crush on Spike from Buffy. I loved his droll humor and intense eroticism. Then there’s Max from Relentless. I would love to be in bed with that man! The title of the book is his middle name. He’s driven, dominant—and prime cut of beefcake!
Readers have come to expect sizzling erotic romances from you, are there any other genres you would like to branch to or to add to your erotic resume?
I love comedy and want someday to write a script for a TV series—those ideas I’ll keep close to my chest. I also want to break into mainstream erotica with more paranormal stories. I love writing about developing relationships, love the way people get naked with each other physically and emotionally when all their clothes come off.
The couples you create are not afraid to experiment and trust in each other. If you could choose one thing that you think all couples could benefit from trying, what would it be?
Oooh! I wouldn’t recommend any one particular act, although if pressed, I’d have to admit that anal sex pushes all my buttons! But I would recommend losing any shyness at the bedroom door. Practice first by daring each other to do things or assume positions you know would mortify you—just get past it right up front. Also. Make a rule. You can’t get what you want unless you ask for it. I love that game. Then things will really get hot and nasty very fast. You’ll also laugh a lot!
You are also working on a yet to be named work. Can we get a hint about this upcoming story?
I’m back with my vampires, picking up the thread of My Immortal Knight series in Seattle where it all started. I have this one enigmatic character by the name of Navarro. He’s a master on the vampire council and accustomed to everyone around him jumping to do his bidding. Of course, my heroine, an intrepid reporter with more guts than gray matter, has to shake things up a bit. I’m happy to be back in my vamp world where women are entrees, and men are masterful and gi-normous!
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Just that I’ll be very busy this year delivering on my promise to my readers to give them the hottest sex in print. I’ll have several titles out and they can keep up my happenings by checking out my website or joining my newsletter. And I love getting e-mail from readers.
