I'd like to start out by asking you to tell us a bit about yourself. What made you start writing?
I've always enjoyed writing...journals, diaries. But it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I started seriously thinking about it.
Do you have an inspirational author/teacher/family member who urged you to write?
Yes, her name is Lora Leigh, an Ellora's Cave author, and one who is now also out in print. She inspired me and told me I had the heart of a writer.
How do you write? Computer or pen and paper?
Actually I do a bit of both. When I'm sitting in a waiting room, or at the dance studio I write down thoughts and character things on paper. At home, though, I mostly use the computer.
Outlines or stream of consciousness?
A little of both. I'm trying to get more in the outline and plotting stages than fly by the seat of my pants. (g) When I don't plot, I miss a few steps along the way.
Do you have any kind of ritual you use to get your muse going?
I listen to music, soak in the tub, or sometimes I'll read.
What made you chose romantica as your genre?
I enjoy the genre and I felt like it was a good stepping stone for me.
I see that you seem to be drawn to the paranormal. Any specific reason? Or is it just fun?
I have always been fascinated with vampires, werewolves, and other creatures. But I also like to do it for fun too.
Congratulations on your books,
Haunting Melody and
A Knight's Fall. Can you tell us a little about them?
Haunting Melody is about Joshua Thomas who is a psychic vampire who uses his music to feed his hunger. He pours all his hunger and need into his songs and when he plays for people he then feeds off their sexual excitement, their emotions. Of course, this is only until he finds his true mate...the one woman who can sustain him forever. Enter said lady, Devra Preston, a reporter with a nose for news. When she hears a tape of Joshua's music it releases something inside her that demands answers. Why has she never heard of him before? How does his music bring her close to fulfillment just by listening? Is he gorgeous? (g)
A Knight's Fall is the first of three stories about the Knight brothers. Dominick is the oldest and let me say, he's mighty fine. Danielle runs a small cafe and is going to school. Both of them are having very erotic dreams that leave them unfulfilled and aching when they wake up. Neither expects to find their dream lover in real life, but that's exactly what happens. However, there is an obstacle standing in the way of their happiness...a vindictive, manipulating woman who sees Danielle as competition for Dominick's affections. Of course, for Dominick there is no contest for once he sees Danielle, he only has eyes for her.
What else are you working on right now?
Right now I'm working on several different things.
Can you give us a sneak peek?
Maybe a little one. *g* I'm working on the sequel to Haunting Melody tentatively titled Haunting Whispers. If you've read Haunting Melody then I'm sure you remember Joshua's friend, Damon Frost, the man with the voice who could talk a woman into orgasm? This is his story...and his heroine? Let's just say she's one tough lady.
I'm also outlining Jackson and Beauregard Knight's stories as well. I'm also playing around with a romantic suspense, and a Christmas story.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
