Dyana Lunaris Interview

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer some questions for us at FAR- Fallen Angel Reviews. We know a few things about you such as your web site: http://dyanalunaris.com but we are all curious to know more. So by answering these questions you can help us get to know you.

What is your favorite thing to do?
My favorite thing in the whole world to do is write, I know that sounds cheesy or made up but it’s the truth. I’ve been writing since the 7th grade, over 15 years.

Besides writing you are involved with Silks Vaults Publishing, I understand, what do you do?
I’m one of Silk’s in house artists. I create covers, banners, site extras, and items for the boutique.

I have seen some of those enticing covers that you have designed over 12(I believe); do you design them for others?
I do design freelance covers for anyone who is interested. All they have to do is contact me by email or Yahoo Messenger.

Congratulations on all of those books, can you tell us a little about them?
They are about two vampires who own an antique store called Midnight antiques. The first one is about Mikhail and his struggle against The Order of the Dragon, a vampire order that had decided it’s time to feed on humans again. Of course, because he’s against it, they chose him to see if the can get away with it. When he falls in love with the target that’s chosen things get a little bit hot.

The second one is about Marcos, Mikhail’s business partner and friend. Why he’s house sitting for The Order of the Dragon, a woman escapes from the insane asylum next door and stumbles right into his arms. He takes it upon himself to protect this helpless stray and while trying to prove she isn’t crazy he may change her life forever.

There will also be two more stories connected to this series eventually.

What your favorite thing you do to get ready to write?
I like to listen to music. Music always puts me in the mood for another place and time. Every story I write has a song attached.

Is there one that you love besides reading, kids and food?
Taking pictures. I love photography and all it’s aspects, including editing and showing them off!

If you were to say that there is one food that you must have and can not live with out what is it?
Tacos, there is no way I could live without tacos.

You find yourself back in time or going to the future where would you like to end up?
Medieval Scotland. I’ve always been fascinated with Scotland and its history. I’d love to end up there.

What is a typical day like for you?
Get the kids ready for school, take them to school, sit in front of the computer and hopefully get some work done, pick up the kids from school, make dinner, send the kids to bed, and watch tv until I get tired myself.

What is one television show that you will not miss for anything?
Not just one, there are a couple but I’ll narrow it down to two; Sopranos and Six Feet Under

Do you have any special rituals to help you get in the mood to write?
No special rituals, I’m always in the mood to write.

What is the freakiest thing that has ever happened to you?
A little girl ghost that lived in our apartment woke me up and told me my baby was choking. When I got to her she was choking and I was able to save her.

What are your books that are coming out soon? Can you tell us about them? Just a little tease, please?
One in particular that I’m looking forward to is called Roses Never Fade. It’s a time travel Romance that has a little bit of paranormal thrown in. It’s about Rosemary, a contemporary writer who, while escaping from an abusive relationship accidentally wishes herself back to medieval Scotland. It’s got one of my trademark surprise endings.

Your yahoo site where we can find out all the latest and greatest is called Dark Anthologies if I am not mistaken, am I right?
Yes, I have two websites. One at http://dyanalunaris.com that has excerpts and some of my book covers and my yahoo group/newsletter is at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/darkanthologies/

Thank you so very much for answering the questions as I am looking forward to hearing more about you and the books you have coming out.
