Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer some questions for us at FAR- Fallen Angel Reviews. We know a few things about you such as your web site:
www.jadejames.com but we are all curious to know more. So by answering these questions you can help us get to know you.
What is the one thing that you would want us, the readers to know about you?
Hmmm… how about a few things. I’m 29 years old. I live in New York with my husband and two children. I work as an administrative assistant from 9-5 and then off to put my mother cape on. In between I try to get as much writing done as I can.
If you could pick one place that you would want to move to where would it be?
Orlando, Florida. I actually have plans to move there in a couple of years, when my daughter is old enough to attend school. It’s time for a change for me and a new start in life. Want to take my family somewhere peaceful.
IF you moved out of NYC what is the one thing you would miss?
There aren’t too many things to miss in New York. Guess it would be the “fast paced” life I live here. Nah…Like I said not too many things to miss in New York besides the family I have here.
Of all your books which one would you say holds the most meaning for you and why?
My Spanish Tracer Series is really close to my heart. I’m a Puerto Rican Mama and writing that particular series came easy to me. I find I’m in love with writing about my heritage and will be doing it more frequently now. I call it my own niche in the e-publishing world. I have two of the four book series done with the first one already available at www.silksvault.com
If you were going to visit any place in the world to research a book where would it be?
I would love to go to Spain and try to learn more about their culture. I have found in literature and just coming across people who are from Spain that their world is entirely different from the Puerto Rican heritage.
What would you say is your greatest accomplishment in life?
Having my first book Stalking Cara completed and published. It took me a whole year to write that book, with me many of times giving up. If it wasn’t for my friends, I would never have had the courage to even start it.
What is the one person, place or thing you can't say no to?
My kids. Yep…My son and daughter are spoiled rotten, and I have a hard time saying No to them. People tell me their going to run me over when they get older. I still teach them to respect and be kind to others, but yep they’re spoiled rotten.
Do you have a yahoo site where people can join to find out the latest and greatest books out there by you?
Yes I do. People can go to www.jadejames.com and join my newsletter group directly through my site. I send my newsletter out once a month with a special contest for each month.
Between the times you get an idea to the finish of the book how long does it take you to write it?
That always varies. The longest it has taken me to write a book has been a year LOL, and the shortest two weeks. The book titled Winter Captive, kept playing itself out into my head, so I had to jot it down.
What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to you?
Want to hear something spooky. To this day I’m still slightly creeped out and in awe that it happened. My daughter was about 9 months and she kept crying all day long. Suddenly my ear began to hurt, and the pain wouldn’t go away. So I take my baby girl to the doctor and guess what she had, an ear infection. Once she took her antibiotics, she felt a lot better and so did I.
What kind of work do you think you would have done if you hadn't become a writer?
Honestly I always had a fascination with forensics and have had this craving to go back to school. Writing has taken up every spare time that I have when I’m not with my kids. So yeah, school will have to be delayed for a while longer LOL.
Besides writing all those great books, what do you do in your spare time, if you have any?
There is no spare time when you have a five year old boy and two year old girl running around. But I do have this one thing I do weekly to pamper myself. I get my hair done. Even though its with my daughter latched on to my hip, I do so love it when I come out of the hair salon feeling like a new woman.
Do you have any more writing projects in the works? If so can you give us a little info about them?
Tons of projects and more playing out in my head LOL. I am working on a Valentine anthology for www.oceansmistpress.com I also have a suspense book I need to finish for them by November. Rachel’s Mercenary should be finished in two weeks. It’s the sequel to Stalking Cara now available at www.silksvault.com and I just finished my first paranormal vampire book and have submitted it. Crossing fingers…people will like it.
Thank you so very much for answering the questions as I am looking forward to hearing more about you and the books you have coming out.
