Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer some questions for us at FAR- Fallen Angel Reviews. We know a few things about you such as your web site:
http://www.authorsredroom.com/hostedsites/emmabruce/index.htm
but we are all curious to know more. So by answering these questions you can help us get to know you. Emma has completed two novels in the mainstream genre, beginning to try steamy fiction like
BABY MINE, Our Life of Love, and The
Zodiac Series Virgo.
What is the one thing that you would want us, the readers to know about you?
Well, I guess just that if you were to run into me in the grocery store in my jeans and on a day when I hadn't thrown my contacts on, I look just like any other Mom pondering apples and tomatoes and not someone who spends most of her time crafting steamy tales!
On your web site it says “She had so much fun writing it, she's looking forward to her next venture into the world of spicy romance.” Do you have any more writing projects in the works? If so can you give us a little info about them?
I have the second part of a trilogy that I'm fine tuning. The third is in the beginning stages at the moment. It's about fictional beings, the Zilosecs--three siblings who each possess certain powers and the people who love them!
Do you have a Yahoo group or a newsletter that we your fans can sign up for to get the latest and greatest news about you and your wonderful books?
I do have a newsletter with frequent contests running. Details can be found periodically on my site that you referenced above. Check it often! Stuff is always happening around there!
If there were one thing that you would do to make the world a better place what would it be?
This probably sounds cliché, but I think that kindness is so lacking in the world. The greatest compliment I can ever or will ever receive is when someone tells me my children are kind, polite and respectful. It doesn't always make for an easy road in a world of disregard, but I hope they're better people for it. I think everything from prejudice to war is based on unkindness.
Do you have any free time if so do you have any hobbies?
I don't have a whole lot of free time, but I love to read when I do, and I love to just rent a movie and plop with a pizza and a nice glass of lemonade! I also am a huge music fan. Music is always playing around my house though I myself can't carry a tune with a shovel!
Of all your books, which one would you say holds the most meaning for you and why?
So far I like BABY MINE. I guess because I feel pregnancies, motherhood, becoming a parent, are so very important in molding us and such a responsibility as well. I truly feel for Andrea in that book.
What is your greatest accomplishment in your life?
Cliched answer again so I'll answer it a couple different ways..... 1st, without question, my family. They're so great and if all this went away tomorrow, they're the most important thing. 2nd, the fact that any of this has come to fruition at all. I'm a pretty timid gal and that I had the guts to do this sometimes surprises me still! Last, and this is a really frivolous one.....I've been to 25 Springsteen concerts in 25 years!!! I just love that one!!! 8-)
If you were going to visit any place in the world to research a book where would it be?
Italy or England. I've yet to get to either, but they both intrigue me. I'm not real 'tropical-ly'.
Have you written or be published under any other names?
I have. I have some mainstream stuff under my real name, but I try to keep them separate if possible......a lot of people at Religious Ed. might be surprised!!!
With all those great books and even better reviews that are out, what do you have coming out soon? I understand that you have a new book coming out.
The Lusty Zilosecs Volume 1 Colt is coming out soon I understand. Can you tell us about them?
I mentioned a bit about them above. COLT will be out on August 31st, and his sister's story, CADY will probably be an early winter release at VENUS PRESS. HEATH, the youngest Badman, will be out in the spring. They've really been so much fun to write.
If you were to win a million dollars playing the lottery what would you do?
Hmmm.......probably pay off the house, pre-pay three great college educations for my kids and then do something nuts like fly all my friends and family to Vegas with what's left!
Being in upstate NY would you want to live there forever even with the winters so harsh or would you have a favorite place that you would like to move to?
You know, winters here are long and tough, but I've lived here my entire life and I can't imagine going away for long. I wouldn't mind a few months off from the blistering cold and snow after Christmas, but by March I'd be ready to come back home and wait for spring!
If there was one thing that you wanted to do in life that you have not done what would it be?
Probably gain just a bit more writing recognition. Hopefully that will come though.
Of all your jobs in life which one do you like best? Why?
I truly love writing so the fact that I'm getting a chance to do this is truly a dream, but I used to work in an upscale department store when I was first married and that was really fun. I loved watching people browse and helping them select the perfect something.
Thank you so very much for answering the questions as I am looking forward to hearing more about you and the books you have coming out.
Thanks so very much! I've enjoyed it!!!
Em
