Today I have the opportunity to interview Justus Roux.

Justus, it is so good to have you with us today! Welcome to Fallen Angel Reviews and thanks for taking time from your busy schedule to visit with us.

Justus why not introduce yourself and tell us a little about Justus Roux.

Hello everyone, I am glad to be interviewed for this wonderful website. I am a wife and mother of three. I live in the beautiful state of Michigan, and thanks to my children having to have everything that the other has I have quite a zoo of pets, 3 dogs, 3 cats, a dozen chickens, and an aquarium full of fish.

What are some of your hobbies?

I enjoy going on hikes, playing online poker, and reading of course. I also enjoying making things for my home, cooking and I have to admit I love playing video games.

What do you enjoy most about writing?

I love creating new worlds. I also enjoy bringing my characters to life.

How did you feel the day your book was released?

Ecstatic and a bit afraid, being the owner of a publishing company I am by and large self-published. But seeing how much the readers enjoy my books, well, there is no real words to describe this wonderful feeling.

Do you have a strict writing schedule?

Yes and no, I try to write something everyday. My main goal is to write ten pages a day, whatever time of day it is. I tried to set a strict writing time, especially when my kids are in school. It’s easier to write when the house is quiet. Of course, during the summer time, I will end up staying up really late to get my writing done for the day.

Are your characters sometimes based on real people or made up?

Mostly my characters are made up, though they might have personality traits of people I know.

Do you have an agent or ever-considered getting one?

I am hoping (fingers crossed) to have an agent by the end of summer 2006. I would really like to have a book published by one of the bigger publishing co. and most of them require that you have an agent.

What are your goals for your writing career in the future?

Well, I write both erotic romance and young adult fiction, though I haven’t had much time to focus on the young adult fiction. I started out writing stories for my children and I would love to see them published.

For my erotic romance books, I enjoy writing for my own publishing company. I have such freedom to write what I want. But my goal is to also have books published by a bigger publisher, like Lovespell, Berkley etc.

Do you hate leaving your characters once your book is complete?

Oh yes, after having them live in my head for two months it’s like saying goodbye to a friend. Especially when a series is done, like my Demon hunters and I know that I won’t be writing about these characters again.

What actor or actress would you like to portray a character in your book?

I would love Brad Pitt to play the role of Demon hunter Michael in “Keeper of My Soul” He was sort of mental picture for this character to begin with. That would be so cool.

Has it always been your lifelong ambition to be a writer?

No, at first I wanted to be a song writer and music producer. I did write down the occasional storyline. I just didn’t know what to do with it because I was so focused on the music. But sometimes in life things just don’t work out and I had to leave my musical aspirations behind me. It wasn’t until I started writing bedtimes stories for my kids that I discovered my love of writing. And as corny as this sounds it just feels right to be a writer. You know like this was what I was supposed to be.

Thank you. This is my only website right now. I put a lot work into my site every month, putting up fresh content for readers to enjoy, not only from me, but from a bunch of talented writers and poets as well.

I plan on launching my website for my young adult novels by summer 2006. “On Dragon’s Wings”, will be the name of this new publishing company and website.
