Kenna Fallon Interview

I’d like to begin by asking you how you got into writing historical romances?
The first historical I ever read was a book by John Jakes, “The Bastard”, and I was hooked. I guess it was the place in time that sounded so enticing to me.

What’s a typical day like for you?
LOL - I have a day job as well so after I do my thing there, I come home and work on my books for a few hours to unwind. My weekends are my own so I do get a lot done during that time. I try to stay off the internet for the weekend but I love to meet new people and I love to talk so it doesn’t always work out that way. I have met a lot of new friends over the past several months and they are very dear to me. But in general, I stay focused and really get into my story lines.

Can you tell us a little about your book The Dragon’s Fire that you have out with Silk’s Vault?
Since this is the very first book I had published, it is one close to my heart. The book is a historical romance novel of a sensual nature involving a man who wants a woman so badly that he will do anything in his power to take her as his own. But he learns that her past is one that involves scandal, intrigue and dark secrets that will tear them apart and jeopardize a love that knows no boundaries. It is a book filled with scorching passion, seduction and the ultimate in heartfelt romance.

What was the first story you ever wrote?
The very first book I wrote, historical of course, was about a warrior from Normandy whose path in life leads him to the one woman who makes his blood boil with rage, but whose tender caresses steal his heart. He is first her self-appointed protector and then becomes the soul of her life. It is a truly touching story that some day I hope to get published. It will always be dubbed as my ultimate tale of passion and pain.

I see where Passion’s Hunger has also been released by Silk’s Vault would you tell us a little about it as well?
Passion's Hunger has got to be my favorite! This book is another historical romance novel that is erotic and seductive. It takes place in Scotland during the time of Sir William Wallace's fight for freedom. It involves a man who is being forced to wed a woman (Wallace's cousin) that he does not want until he sees her for the first time. She is everything that screams hellion...and passionate lust! She becomes his life and soul, but the tale is one that bares gruesome twists of fate, death and greed that will bring tears to your eyes. It is a story of great trials but it is also one of fascinating erotic seduction and love.

How many hours a day do you spend writing?
I try to spend at least a couple of hours a day during the week but the weekends are when I get the most of my writing done.

On your website, you give us readers a teaser from your work in progress, Sweet Redemption. Any idea when it will be released?
Now this book is a HOT one! It is about a sexy pirate...need I say more??? The release date will be sometime in early 2006 with Silk's Vault and will be part of a series of three...all featuring a variety of hot, sensual pirate bad boys!

From what do you derive the most inspiration for your writing?
My terribly wicked fantasies! All of which involve hot men willing to tease and please!

If you could choose any man for the cover of one of your books, who would it be?
Now this is an easy one. It is CJ Hollenbach who agreed to be on the cover of my first novel, The Dragon's Fire. (I have this thing for men with long hair. I find it incredibly sexy and hot. lol)

I see from the pictures on your website that you have a stunning garden. How much time do you typically spend working on it?
In the summer time, I am out in my garden a lot. I love the flowers and plants and I try to create private areas that provide romantic themes fit for, oh yes, seduction! The fragrance of flowers can really intoxicate the senses and for anyone who has ever read any of my books, I use particular scents that I find alluring, such as jasmine and honeysuckle, just to name a couple.

Can you tell us something about you that makes you unique?
I think it would have to be my quest for true passion. And one of the ways I express this is in my writing. I love to write and I write what I feel. It is like I hold nothing back. I want the readers to know what seduces my mind, what can make me cry and what can make me laugh.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Yes, and this is soooo exciting! I recently started doing a monthly column in a woman's ezine (SuiteMag) that I really enjoy. I team up with my partner in crime, Jaden Sinclair, in the Kitchen, where we cook up some very enticing meals, teasing desserts and delicious drinks. LOL. I have a lot of fun writing this column with Jaden and if anyone has not been to the Suite Magazine site, I invite you all to go and take a look. There is a link to SuiteMag at the bottom of my home page on my website. This column is really something that leaves very few things to the imagination...oh, and then there are the recipes too! So don’t forget to stop in and say hello to The Kitchen Wenches!

Thank you Kenna, for stopping by today and telling us a little more about yourself.
