Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer some questions for us at FAR- Fallen Angel Reviews. We know a few things about you such as your web site:
http://users.cjb.net/jadensinclair/index.html but we are all curious to know more. So by answering these questions you can help us get to know you.
What is the one person, place or thing you can't say no to?
Hmm, good question. In a strange sense, I have yet to find that person or thing yet. I can say no to just about anything I don’t like, or don’t want to do. Now I have found out over time that I don’t like anyone to tell me that I can’t have something, it just makes me work harder at finding a way to get it.
If there was one thing that you want the readers to know about you what would it be?
Well, I guess I would have to say I love to bake. And when I get the baking mood there is more in the kitchen, then a family of four can handle or eat.
I understand you have left the
Shifters Series to go to a book called
Pharaoh’s Warrior and have others also that you are working on, Can you tells us about them?
I haven’t left the Shifter series, just slowed them done some. I do plan to do a total of 5 shifters for the series, after that I will just see where they will lead. As for Pharaoh’s Warrior, it’s my first Egyptian book. I love anything Egyptian, so I had to do my own love story about it.
I have other stuff in the works as well. My first vampire series is taking shape called Bloodmate. I think the readers will find that it is a different type of vampire book than what they have ever read before. I am also doing a book for Silk’s Vault’s new ‘Dark Silk’ line with another author, and I am trying to get this one that doesn’t have a title yet, finished. Oh! I also write a kitchen column with Kenna Fallon for SUITE magazine.
What is the one piece of advice you would give to a new writer who wants to get published?
If you want something bad enough, you will get it.
What do you do when you get writer’s block?
Well I get that all the time, so I try many things. The main thing I do is put some music on really loud, sit back in my chair and just let my mind wonder. If that doesn’t work, I cuss! LOL
If you were to describe a typical day for you what would it be?
I am a stay at home mom. My typical day is getting my oldest off to school, checking emails, doing some laundry, cleaning house, checking emails, somewhere I fix my youngest something to eat, maybe get a chapter or two wrote, oh did I say check emails?
What would you say was the biggest influence to making you write your books?
Well Wendi, you sure don’t ask any easy ones. I think I might go with my dad. When he noticed that I liked to write he sort of gave me a challenge which was to write him a mystery to see if I could do it or not. I surprised him big time when I handed him his story. He also use to write up little poems that would make you go looking for a Christmas present, or to just make you laugh. He had told me that if this was something I had wanted badly enough then one day I would get it. So now I got my dream.
Many say that e-books books are the wave of the future. What do you think?
What can I say? Well they may be the wave, but there is still some out there that will want to hold their books when they read them.
What hobbies do you have?
Where do I begin? I have way too many to keep up with. I knit, ceramics, some sewing, all kinds of small crafts, baking and don’t forget about the writing as well.
I understand that you set up and designed your own web site. Can you tell us about it? Have you done it for others?
Well the first site that I ever did was for fun. And when I went back in to get some things from it you sure can tell that it was the first. Recently I redid the whole main page. I thought it needed a new look to go with a new year, and if I say so myself it kicks ass!
I have done about 2 other sites and one was A.P. Miller. A lot of times when I might be stuck I will go in there and work on a page or two. If a person goes in there to look around I try to stick with a theme of all my own. The only pages that have any music are my book pages. Thought it gave it a different style.
If you could pick the best thing about writing what would it be?
I get to be my strange self. I have always had a far out mind that could and would come up with some of the weirdest things, and now I can take that and fly with it. I like things different and unusual.
Many say you have a great potential and a talent that will make you a force to be reckoned with. What do you say about that?
(laughing) that’s a new one to me. I thought I was just one of the crowd here. I will say this to anyone that wants to email me or just buzz to say hi, GO FOR IT. Don’t be scared, I’m just the every day simple normal mom who gets to express herself.
Thank you so very much for answering the questions as I am looking forward to hearing more about you and the books you have coming out.
