Anjeanette L. Porter Interview

Good morning Anjeanette, and welcome to Fallen Angel Reviews. We would love to learn more about Anjeanette L. Porter and her great books.

Anjeanette, why don't we begin by telling the readers about yourself?
Well, really there isn't a whole lot to say about myself. I currently live with my mom and youngest sister, her husband and three children. It is a hectic life sometimes because my sister has Bi-Polar and Manic depression, she is also OCD. But about myself. I am 27 years old, and currently unemployed. I am having the hardest time looking for work. My dad served 12 years in the Army and while growing up we all moved around a lot. I have been too Germany twice which is one of my favorite places that I have ever lived and still in contact with one of my best friends I made when I was living there the second time around. I was born in Barrien Center, Michigan but was three months old when we moved the first time. I have been to Kentucky twice, and also to Killeen, Texas which is where I was able to make some of my other good friends. I currently live in Bloomington, IN which is one of the worst places I've ever had to live.

Now, let's get to your latest release, can you tell us something about it?
Yes, my book Brandon McKenzie: The Protector is a Romance/Adventure with a bit of twists a long the way that include some time travel and paranormal elements. The Romance and Adventure are the main part of my story and the other two elements secondary. It is a very Romantic story that is happy, sad, adventurous and everything in between that will keep you glued until the very end.

Do you write on a schedule or as inspiration hits?
I write whenever I have the chance to. I usually write in a quiet place, my bedroom or outside at a park.

What would you like to accomplish with your writing career?
Right now I think just being able to have a book published is a book accomplishment in itself. My other concern is to be able to accomplish getting the word out to other Romance Readers so they are interested in my book and will help spread the word for me.

Do you have any bad writing habits?
None that I am aware of.

What does the future hold for Anjeanette and any works in progess?
No, I don't currently plan on writing anything else unless I found some free time to start on some short stories. Hopefully, the future will just bring better sells and opportunity to spread the word about my book Brandon McKenzie: The Protector.

If you could have just one wish, what would it be?
To have more sells on my book. To have better reviews on my book and to have other Romance fans help spread the word.

Do you see yourself in any of the characters in your books?
I am a little bit a part of all the female characters in one way or another.

While writing, how does the story develop for you?
Do you go from start to finish or create scenes as they come to you? I usually start from the beginning and get to the middle and get stuck, then I usually go back and re write everything from start to middle again and maybe do that a few times before coming up with an ending that is best.

Which room in your home would you say is your favorite?
My bedroom, because it is the quietest place in the house, and sometimes I like to be alone away from everybody, especially the rowdy kids.

If you were to replenish your cabinets with one junk food, what would it be?
Chocolate, of course.

Have you ever been close to a rattlesnake or any snake? Or seen a snake charmer?
Yes, I have a pet Corn snake. Her name is Diamond and I love her so much. She is awesome. I've had her for 2 years. She is very docile and not aggressive at all. My four year old niece loves to hold her and watch her eat every week.

Do you have a household chore that you really hate doing?
Dishes.

Do you have another website, other than freewebs.com/rmncwrtr27 that you would like to share?
Myspace. Facebook. Just type in my name and it should take you to my pages. authorsden.com/angielporter.

Anjeanette, I am glad that we were able to share some time with you today. We look forward to reading more of your great works.
