Today at Fallen Angel Reviews, we are happy to welcome, Eden Rivers. Eden please come in and take a seat.
Hi Linda. Thanks for inviting me to drop by and chat with you today.
I believe you have a new release out,
Nature's Pentacle. The readers would love to hear something about this story and what prompted you to write it. Would you please share that with us?
Nature's Pentacle is a paranormal erotic romance novel. Here's the blurb: When witches use sexual energy in a rite to mend the shattered environment, the forces set in motion carry them into a vortex of loss, a sizzling ménage, and finally, to the love they never imagined they'd find. When I wrote Nature's Pentacle, I started with a vivid image of the forbidden rite at the beginning of the story, and from there I went on to develop character and plot.
If you have any upcoming releases would you please share them with us at this time?
My paranormal erotic romance novella, Strange Sabbats, is coming May 27 from Loose Id. Here's the blurb: For Aileen, Bryan, and Sylvie, three witches related by blood and common circumstances, finding the men of their dreams is a supernatural ride through love, jealousy-and fierce, red hot witch sex.
On June 15 Torrid Teasers Vol. 47 is coming out with Whiskey Creek Press Torrid. The characters in my two contemporary erotic short stories discover that within close-knit circles of friends, the web of love and loyalties can get a bit-tangled.
What does your workstation look like?
I write at a wooden computer desk in my sunroom. I've got a skylight overhead, windows behind me, and I sit right next to sliding glass doors where I can look out at my gardens while I write. As for the desk itself, it's generally covered with post-it notes and to-do lists.
What is a day like for
Eden Rivers?
I start the day with morning yoga, check e-mail before breakfast, and start writing mid-morning. I write full time, and when my muse is with me, I'll often sit back down at the computer after dinner for a few hours.
Do you have any encouraging words for up and coming artists?
Never give up. Join a professional organization like Romance Writers of America. Write constantly. Read even more than you write. And again, never give up.
Do you love stories with happy-ever-after endings? Or does your taste vary?
I read in many different genres, so while I enjoy a great happily ever after ending, I also enjoy many other types of fiction.
What's important to you? Characters, plot, intimacy?
All of the above. As a writer, I tend to start with characters, foster intimacy, and plot follows naturally once I know my characters.
If you were to plan a wedding, tell us what it would consist of?
In my May 27 release with Loose Id, Strange Sabbats, there's a wedding reception set outdoors in an apple orchard, with lanterns strung from the trees and a live band playing in the background. The event's held on the autumn equinox, and pretty much sums up my idea of a perfect wedding.
Do you have a favorite author whose work you never grow tired of?
I love Barbara Kingsolver, Alice Hoffman, Kim Harrison, Charles de Lint, Kelley Armstrong, and many others.

Finish the sentence: Life is short, so…?
...write while you can.
If you were asked to be on a reality show, would you accept the challenge, and if so, which show would you choose?
I've got to admit I don't watch much TV, and I have an especially low tolerance for reality shows. My idea of a cozy evening in front of the TV involves a DVD and a bowl of popcorn.
Do you have a favorite musical instrument?
I love the cello, though I don't play an instrument myself. My daughters both play string instruments, and I love listening to them play outdoors on summer evenings.
Congratulations! You just won a year off from work to travel anywhere in the world and write the story of your dreams. Where do you go, what type of book do you write, and what's the title?
I'd love to stay in a home by the ocean for a year, with my own private beach. I grew up in New England, and I think something about being close to the ocean fosters creativity. As for what I'd write, my next project's going to be an urban fantasy, though I don't have a working title yet.
What would you say is your favorite appliance?
I'm guessing my computer counts as electronics and not an appliance, so I'd have to say the microwave.
