Dante's Duty
When Kylie Anderson wakes up and finds that she cannot recall the events of the previous evening, she is concerned. However, when she finds a blood covered shirt in her room and a detective at her door, she knows that her memory is the least of her worries. Her former fiancé has been murdered and all clues point to her.
Dante McKnight finds himself in a murder investigation that appears straightforward. However, the more time he spends with the suspect, the more he doubts the clues presented. Is he being lead on by an accomplished liar or is Kylie being framed while the real murderer goes free?
Dante's Duty is a tender romantic suspense story that takes the reader right along on the investigation. Readers are able to experience the range of emotions presented by the characters while they are trying to determine what happened to Kylie's fiancé. The compassion and determination of Kylie's character will have readers thinking that surely this caring woman can't be a cold-blooded killer, yet as the clues continue to pile up, they will have to wait and see if Dante can prove her innocence. The suspense within the story is adequate, but not too detailed. This reader was able to piece together the clues to determine the murderer, but kept reading to see how the author brought the twists and turns of the romance and suspense to a conclusion.
