One cursed to live forever, the other cursed to die young. Two people thrown together by fate and offered the one thing they have both given up on, love.

Mikael Giovanni, King of the Giovanni gypsy tribe, has seen many things in his life. Cursed to live forever, he has known love, hate and the overwhelming loss of seeing all he loves perish; still he lives on. When he comes to the town of Patience, it is for peace, a respite against the memories and emotions that haunt him. Instead he finds his long buried emotions coming back to life when he meets Allison Tremant.

Allison Tremant knows that every day is a blessing. She knows that the disease that racks her body will soon overwhelm her. She has vowed that she will never love someone. She will not force someone to experience the devastation her eventual death will cause. However when she meets Mikael, she is inexplicably drawn to him. With him, she yearns for all the tomorrows she can have.

These two souls have firsthand knowledge of the pain and suffering life can bring; as Mikael’s past come back to haunt him, will their meeting be yet another source of sorrow or will Mikael and Allison find a love that will ease all the hurts of the past?
